Our fellow Dr. Raffaella De Marco had the great opportunity to participate in the last "Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA) Annual Conference and General Assembly", held on March 21–22, 2025, in Krakow, Poland.
Regarding Marie Curie funded actions, the work conducted by the association Marie Curie Alumni Association is of incredible value in understanding and applying good research practices under European supervision.
The great challenge began on Wednesday 19th with the satellite event "Citizen Science Engagement: Who Benefits and Why It Matters". The session shed light on the growing significance of researchers developing both foundational and advanced expertise in citizen science (CS), co-creation, and meaningful community engagement — an inspiring call to action for more inclusive and impactful research.
From there, the heart of the conference truly came alive. It was an energizing mix of thought-provoking discussion panels on strengthening research pathways, unlocking funding opportunities, and refining science communication. The lightning talks and exchanges around research ethics and practices added a layer of depth and passion, reinforcing the shared commitment across the community.
