Grateful opportunity for Dr. Raffaella De Marco to participate as an Individual Member of Europa Nostra at the European Cultural Heritage Summit 2024 in Bucharest (Romania), held on October 6th-8th and organised by Europa Nostra and co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union.
It has been an incredible opportunity to update on Europe's latest awarded conservation actions and heritage valorisation initiatives. The satellite events have highlighted incredible heritage panels, as the European Heritage Hub Forum “Championing a responsible digital transition for and with cultural heritage” and the European Heritage Policy Agora “Upholding Quality Principles in Heritage Conservation’’.
Last (but not least), the exhibition of associations and companies involved in the development of visualisation tools and interactive virtual means for education and dissemination of Heritage has strengthened the important relationship with R&I projects to complement the European task force plan.
The European Heritage Awards Ceremony (co-hosted by Iliana Ivanova, European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth) held in the Romanian Athenaeum (2023 recipient of the European Heritage Label) has just crowned the action of Europa Nostra in 2024 in sustaining heritage administrators and sites, as stated in the following day in the General Assembly for 2025 goals.
