A joint international workshop between the University of Pavia (Italy) and the University of Sharjah  (United Arab Emirates) in the field of Digital Heritage took place from 10th to 12th October 2023 in Sharjah.
The workshop "Digital Discoveries in Architectural Heritage: From 3D Mapping to Phygital Experiences" was organised at the Department of Architectural Engineering at the University of Sharjah by Dr. Raffaella De Marco (MSCA Fellow Researcher, UNIPV) and Dr. Eslam Nofal (Assistant Professor, UoS) for students of Architecture, in the Bachelor’s course of Sciences in Architectural Engineering and Master's course in Conservation Management of Cultural Heritage (coordinated in collaboration with ICCROM) offered by the University of Sharjah. 
The workshop introduced the students to the topic of the production and management of 3D databases on Architectural Heritage for the morphometric analysis of built systems and the virtual dissemination of cultural sites, sharing best practices achieved by the research laboratory DAda-LAB. of the DICAr Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture. The experimentation focused on the adoption of products in terms of Virtual Heritage and Web Repositories for the management of multimedia heritage narratives.
